The first step in getting started is setting up your website's domain address (URL). When we setup your website for the first time, we will assign a default GNR website address to it so that you can access your website straight away. You will most likely want to change this website address to one that is similar to your company name. The steps below outline how to change the website address / domain.
If you do not have a domain/website address yet.
If you do not have a domain as yet, you can purchase one in the first step of our online shopping process.
To do this, click on the "Shop Online" icon located at the top of the page, add the product titled "Domain Registration" and put the domain name you would like in the Note section.
Once we receive your order, we will proceed to register your domain and point it to your GoNetReady website. Please note, this is separate from your monthly hosting and is an annual fee.
If you already have a domain/website address from another service provider.
In this instance, there are two options:
- You can choose to transfer your domain to GoNetReady so that we manage both your domain and your website and email. To do this, go to our website and go to the Shop and purchase a Domain Registration / Transfer. Once we receive your paid order, we will proceed with the domain transfer and assign your domain to your GoNetReady website. (Please note, the URL needs to be renewed annually.)
- If you are happy with your domain provider and would like them to continue managing your domain, you will need to ask them to point your domain records to our server. To arrange for this to happen, raise a support ticket with our team and they will provide you with the appropriate technical details to pass on to your domain provider.
